The installation displays four sets of teacups in different stages of the creation process, with the final set containing tea.  It communicates how In each stage of creating ceramics, rest is involved and important in order to reach a beautiful and useful product. I wanted to highlight the importance of having rest in our everyday life, in all our different stages, to be conducive to contentment and blessing. In some practices, tea is seen as spiritual nourishment, and I believe that rest is nourishment for the soul. Hence, I've used teacups to demonstrate the value of rest. 

 

When we stay committed to giving ourselves rest, we are able to bless and serve others well.
